Driving School
- The school is recommended for anyone without significant track experience or not completely familiar with the track, those who have never attended a formal driving school and anyone wishing to simply become a better driver.
- A morning and after lunch classroom session combined with individual instruction and ample track time will greatly enhance your comfort level at speed.
- Your diploma will memorialize your accomplishment as a Florida Region Driving School graduate. We even take a picture to prove you were really there.
Track
- All drivers will participate in one of three groups. Helmets are mandatory in all groups for all occupants of the car; no children under 16 are allowed on the track; and no one under 18 is allowed to drive on the track.
- The beginning group is designated for drivers with little or no track experience, who simply wishing to drive on the track and enjoy their cars at a very controlled speed. There is no passing.
- The touring group is intended to allow enjoyment of your car at speeds greater than allowed on public roads. Helmeted passengers are allowed. No passing in or near a corner is permitted. Absolute car control is mandatory and excessive speeds will result in revocation of track privileges.
- The sport group requires a full FIA rated fire suit including shoes, socks, and gloves. No passengers are allowed. A club approved driving instructor may ride in the car with permission of the track steward. Speeds are not limited but must be well within the capability of the driver and the car.
- The club reserves the right to determine, at the track, the appropriate run group for any participant. This decision will be based on prior training, experience and demonstrated skills. The track steward's decision will be Final and reflect a concern for the drivers safety as well as the safety of others.
- Drivers must always be in total control of their cars, whatever the speed. Car
control is more driver influenced than purely speed related. Most incidents occur in touring, so please be careful. At the track, our primary goal is to have a safe weekend.
- If a driver demonstrates inappropriate driving behavior at a "club" event, with the potential of personal harm or placing other drivers in jeopardy, driving privileges may be suspended for the remainder of the day. There is a vast difference in the experience level of drivers on the track at any one time. In special cases of reckless endangerment and/or ignoring admonishments of track flags, extended loss of driving privileges may result.
- FOC track rules prohibit any convertible without rollover protection, i.e. bars, from participating in a sports run group/ Convertibles without rollover protection may only enter the touring group.
- All cars must have a fire extinguisher securely attached within the driver's compartment
- Know your flags on the track. "I didn't see it." is an unacceptable excuse for lack of compliance.
- Pre-Inspect your car before coming to the track. This will allow you to avoid standing for hours in a very long tech line at the track. An even greater benefit of pre-inspection is the ability to find and correct problems that might compromise safety or sideline your car for the weekend. By undergoing a very thorough, unhurried inspection at a specialized Ferrari Service Center, proper car maintenance can be performed that is not possible at track side. Specify that your car will be involved in performance driving and chose a service center with appropriate knowledge to make sure your Stallion is safe and track worthy.
