The FOC Florida Region held the Alternative Fuels Seminar as guests of Doctor Ruggero Santilli and his lovely wife Carla at the Magnegas facility in Tarpon Springs on September 20, 2008.

Dr. Santilli and his staff presented a brief description of various type of cars using alternative fuels: electric cars, compressed air cars, ethanol cars, hydrogen cars, fuel cells cars and biodiesel cars.

We were then introduced to a demonstration of production of Magnegas fuel which is a biogas derived from a variety of liquid wastes.

It was like magic! Within minutes, 500 gallons of raw sewage was converted to a high-energy combustible gas with only clean water as the by-product. The gas was then used to run a small engine as well as burning in an acetylene torch to cut steel. A similar process was also demonstrated producing the gas from cooking oils. Several guests were treated to a ride in a bi-fuel van using Magnegas, as the fuel. Needless to say, everyone was captivated by the demonstrations. They felt they had seen a glimpse of the future of energy production in our country.
