The Ferrari Owners Club had it annual Christmas party at the Mission Inn & Resort. The Resort allows the members to park our cars in the front reception area. This is a great promenade to allow us to talk about and look at the exotic cars both among ourselves and others. The weather was a typical Florida sunny day at 80 degrees. The Mission Inn Buffet brunch is always perfect from the Omelets made especially to your tastes, eggs benedict to roast beef, bread pudding oh I could go on. Trust me you cannot go hungry.

We had almost 30 attendees and 17 cars plus one motorcycle. You can see from the pictures that we had a very good Ferrari turnout. The food, the mini car show and my Fellow car enthusiasts made for a wonderful event. Because I am blessed with the opportunity to talk to and meet so many Ferrari people I am beginning to have so much appreciation for some of the older Ferraris. These cars are just stunning even today. It is hard to imagine how someone in the 50-70's could have the vision to create such rolling iconic masterpieces. I want to buy one or two of every one of them, unfortunately my wife keeps me on a budget.

It is always amazing to me how complete strangers can stop by to look at a Ferrari and within a few minutes you become friends. I just love hearing about the cars they have owned over the years. Sports cars and especially Ferraris is indeed a wonderful hobby. I have been fortunate to meet and continue to meet so many interesting people. The other day I meant the person who was driving an exotic car (a XJ220 Jaguar) and it turns out he has 12 cars and is the inventor of and has the patent for the laser. I spent a delightful day with the gentleman, just talking cars and technology. My goal is to get him back into Ferraris. Life just does not get any better than that.
